Community Investment

Black River United Way has committed support over the next 8 years to support two major initiatives across Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties.  Our investment in these two initiatives, ensuring quality early learning for children, birth to third grade and building disaster resiliency through preparation and mitigation. Our investment in these initiatives will be bedrock to the growth and success of our counties.

Black River United Way has over 50 partners that are working to create equitable impact in each region of the two-county footprint.  These partnerships will allow us to create stronger opportunities for data collection and measurable collective impact. Black River United Way is dedicated to convening organizations around a common goal in an effort to move the families of Georgetown and Williamsburg counties to resilience.

Our investments multiply the impact of every dollar given to Black River United Way by convening together like-minded leaders as well as creating opportunities for collaboration beyond the value of the check provided. Our investments support programs but also fuel relationships, allowing us to impact individual lives as well as influence conditions for community level change.
