PICKLE FOR PROGRESS

PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT, FESTIVAL, & FUNDRAISER

Pickle For Progress is Black River United Way's pickleball tournament, festival, and fundraiser. This event combines fun, camaraderie, and wellness associated with the sport of pickleball to raise support for Black River United Way's mission and two main initiatives - early childhood success and disaster resiliency.

 

Pickle For Progress will be hosted at East Bay Park in Georgetown and will include competitions for Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.

 

Don't play pickleball? That's okay! In addition to the tournament, food trucks, vendors, and activities will be available for both players and spectators to enjoy.

*Event located at Tennis/Pickleball Courts and adjacent lots

Competitions:

- Men's Doubles

- Women's Doubles

- Mixed Doubles Age 66 and Above

- Mixed Doubles Age 65 and Below

Divisions:

2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0

Registration:

- $55 Per Player (includes t-shirt, victory beverage, and SWAG Bag)*

- $35 Per Additional Event Competition Entry*

*Pickleballbrackets.com charges a $5 fee per Event Competition Entry (i.e. Initial Registration is $60 including  fee and additional events are $40 including fee)

How do I register to play in the tournament?

To register, you will need to sign up for a free pickleballbrackets.com account or log-in to your current account. Registration is easy and only takes a few minutes.

Can I register for doubles if I don't have a partner?

Yes! When you register for an event, be sure to indicate that you need a partner. If you have a partner, they will need to register within 5 days of your registration to secure your team's spot.

In the event of inclement weather, will Pickle For Progress be rescheduled?

If inclement weather results in the cancellation of the event, Pickle For Progress will be scheduled for the following day - Sunday, September 29th, 2024.

How will funds raised be used?

Funds raised will support Black River United Way's initiatives to ensure early childhood success and disaster resiliency.

Can I attend if I don't play pickleball?

Absolutely! This event is for spectators and players alike and will have something for everyone. In addition to the tournament competition, food trucks, activities, and a beer garden will be available for you to enjoy.
