Black River United Way connects teams of people, companies, nonprofit partners, government agencies, and community groups to work together to identify and break down barriers within the community through program development, strategic investments and community service.

Community Connections

SC 2-1-1 serves as a safety net for all individuals needing help finding assistance, by helping improve the effectiveness and coordination of health and human services across the state. The statewide program provides information about and referral to health and human service resources. The service is available 24/7, 365 days per year. It is FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.

The Emergency Food and Shelter Program supplements and expands ongoing work of local nonprofit and governmental social service organizations to provide shelter, food and supportive services to individuals and families who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, hunger and/or homelessness.

 Unite Us is  referral tool that allows agencies to securly securely send and receive referrals, and track outcomes and impact in a person-centered model. It connects health and social care across South  Carolina.

SingleCare is a United Way sponsored prescriptiontions savings card. SingleCare works directly with pharmacies to negotiate up to 80% off prescription prices. We pass these savings onto our communities, free of charge.
