Women United

Join the Black River United Way for Breakfast on February 26, 2018 at the Hot Fish Cub in Murrells Inlet at 8:30 a.m. to meet passionate women and learn from United Way of South Carolina's Senior Director of Public Policy about current activities in the SC State House that affect our region and what we can do to make our voices heard.

Naomi Torfin Lett is a graduate of James Madison University in Virginia. After college she volunteered with the U.S. Peace Corps in Niger West Africa. Upon returning to the states, she began what is now a 15-year career in the non-profit sector. Naomi's work has focused specifically on policy and advocacy for the last 8 years. She helped develop legislation for the South Carolina child welfare system and later assisted in bills related to advancing the financial stability of working poor in South Carolina.

Naomi is dedicated to providing a voice for those who often go unheard and finding solutions that lift all South Carolina.
